Can I take an eSchoolBC course?
If you are a BC resident, you are allowed to take an eSchoolBC course for FREE. If you're enrolled in another BC school (middle or high-school), you can take a grade 10-12 eSchoolBC course as a replacement or additional credit. If you are not currently enrolled in a high-school, you can also use eSchoolBC courses to upgrade for graduation, colleges, and/or universities.
Do I get credits for eSchoolBC courses?
All eSchoolBC courses become part of your academic transcript and count towards graduation. eSchoolBC courses are fully recognized by BC's Ministry of Education and are worth the same credits as a traditional school course. These courses are also fully recognized by universities and colleges.
Does eSchoolBC accept adults?
eSchoolBC accepts adults, whether graduated or not, for free. For those 19 years of age, or older, we can offer courses towards an "Adult Graduation." For any adult returning to take math or english courses, we run a review program that allows you to get back into the schooling mode. Feel free to call Suzanne at 250-868-1135 ext 226 to ask more about adult opportunities.
Will these courses prepare me for provincial exams?
eSchoolBC courses are fully aligned with the most current BC IRP's. This ensures that successful students can be well prepared for provincial exams.
Who teaches eSchoolBC courses?
Every eSchoolBC course is taught by a certified BC teacher. Virtual School teachers are specialists in their area and are dedicated to helping students be successful.
How are eSchoolBC courses taught?
eSchoolBC courses involve media-rich online resources, online discussions, and in some cases hands-on labs. As each course is different, you may contact us to ask about the specifics of the course you wish to take.
